Energetically at Shut Up & Dance
I work in comms for the coolest little capital in the world – essentially I’m a professional eater, drinker and spinner of yarns.
What do you do to relax?
Other than cutting shapes on the dance floor? I spend most of my spare time reading a lot of books, repairing all my tatty vintage clothes, cooking elaborate meals and drinking fancy beer.
If you could only eat one thing for the rest of your life, what would it be?
It’s a tough call, but probably Taste of India’s vindaloo with paratha and a pint. Dream meal.
What do you like about Shut Up & Dance?
I love that Shut Up & Dance classes are a super chill and safe place to let go and let your freak flag fly. There are so many different levels of dance experience in the classes, but everyone ends up cracking up (thanks to Clair’s amazing teaching style) and having a brilliant time regardless of ability. Also, a morning or evening of pelvic thrusting, high kicks and sweating profusely is a great way to forget what’s stressing you out.
Favourite guilty pleasure track?
I’m a massive ABBA fan and I don’t even feel guilty about it. Dancing Queen is probably one of the best pop songs ever written and never fails to fill a dance floor.
